Part Time BMW Lot Technician/ Valet

Location: Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Employment Type: Part Time

Position Type: Hourly

Pay: $14.00 – 15.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lot Tech provides support to the Sales department to keep it running cleanly and smoothly; maintains the appearance of vehicles on the lot;  at all times providing an exceptional customer experience.

  • Receive cars from the transport trucks, compare VIN numbers against invoice.

  • Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and stereo equipment.

  • Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt.

  • Enter and track vehicles in Rapid Recon.

  • Accurately make key tags for vehicles.

  • Stage the vehicles available for sale.

  • Transport vehicles between dealerships.

  • Able to drive and operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

  • Must follow all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving. 

  • Able to effectively park, move and retrieve vehicles without causing damage.

  • Maintain new and used vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenish all vehicle fluids as needed and replace batteries when necessary.

  • Keep new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the General Manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.

  • Secure and lock vehicles prior to close of business.

  • Clean driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.

  • When applicable, place safety hazard signs in the building including wet floor warning signs; report safety issues to the General Sales Manager.

Job Required Skills and Knowledge 

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.

  • Maintain effective team member relations.

  • Ability to maintain emotional control in stressful situations.

  • Handle all vehicles with care, keep them clean and take precautions to protect all vehicles at the dealership.

Education, Experience and Certification

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

Actual compensation will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, Paid Time Off policy, region- specific benefits.
