Entry Level Technician (PDI)

Location: Aurora, CO

Employment Type: Full time

Position Type: Hourly

Pay Range: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour

We are hiring for an Entry Level PDI Technician! This position does not require experience, we are looking for someone who is excited to learn and grow in the automotive industry! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The PDI Technician is responsible for inspecting and preparing newly acquired vehicles to be front-line ready; excellent problem-solving abilities; must be a good communicator; at all times providing an exceptional customer experience.

  • Inspect all lubrication levels and add proper lubrication, as required.

  • Inspect all new vehicles for obvious damages and missing components.

  • Replace defective items according to specifications.

  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper operation of brakes, transmission and engine operation.

  • Activate power equipment such as electric windows, seats, radio, horn, lights, and directional signals to ensure specified operating standards.

  • Install optional equipment specified, such as outside mirrors, rugs, and seat covers.

  • Install or replace standard components, such as hubcaps and wiper blades.

  • Inform the PDI Manager of difficulties with vehicle prep and the need for additional repairs. 

  • Document work in DMS

  • Capability and adaptability to learn any additional tasks to maintain the function of the PDI building 

Job Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be able to read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
  • Able to learn to use: ASR, dealer DMS system, technical software and manufacturer's diagnostic equipment as required.

  • Ability to adapt and support new processes and changes to help in employee and customer satisfaction.

Education, Expreience and Certification:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, Paid Time Off policy, region- specific benefits. 

Pay Range: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
