Automotive Lift Safety Inspector

Location: Aurora, CO and Highlands Ranch, CO

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Type: Hourly

Pay Range: $28 – $36


  • Perform technical inspections, lift installation, and repairs of lift equipment and systems to ensure conformity with maintenance standards, recommending adjustments as necessary to preserve equipment integrity and user safety.
  • Complete curriculum and necessary steps in becoming a Certified Lift Inspector. Training will be provided, and completion of the program, including testing is required to perform Certified Lift Inspections.
  • Conduct thorough hands-on investigations and inquiries into equipment or system failures and problem installations. Analyzes the effectiveness of preventive maintenance practices and suggests improvements in those practices.
  • Prepares timely reports, as may be required, on general system and equipment problems, replacement parts, and equipment performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and recommend appropriate service and repair.
  • Perform and document routine safety inspections on internal lifts within the organization.
  • Complies with established rules and regulations established by the organization, OSHA, and lift operation and maintenance protocols.


  • 5 years experience in installation, inspection, or field service work for users, manufacturers, distributors or service organizations of automotive lift products
  • Extensive Mechanical skills and knowledge of power lifts, tools, and related systems.
  • Electrical skills and a working knowledge of wiring.
  • Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level and make necessary adjustments and repairs to all lift equipment.
  • Ability to maintain current lift code and maintenance schedules as outlined by the American Lift Institute.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and diagrams.
  • Requires a high degree of mechanical aptitude and ability. Heavy lifting will be required with items surpassing 50-90 lbs.
  • Completes job related administrative tasks related to activities, maintenance updates, and work projects within the service dispatch system.
