ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Punctual and regular attendance.

  • Initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested.

  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage, develops estimates, writes repair orders, and maintains customer rapport and records.

  • Troubleshoots vehicle problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.

  • Develops estimates by working with the Parts Department and Technicians to cost materials, supplies, and labor.

  • Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.

  • Obtains approval signatures from customers on repair orders.

  • Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer’s approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns, and arranging towing and temporary transportation.

  • Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to 100% of the customers 100% of the time.  Interact with all customers in an enthusiastic, professional, courteous and helpful manner, striving for complete customer satisfaction at all times.  Promptly follow-up with customers and fully answer their questions and address their concerns.

  • Follow company-approved operational procedures, including plate, key and lot management procedures.

  • Continually maintain and upgrade “Product Knowledge” of the products and services the company sells and of “competing” products and services.

  • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.

  • Responsible for customer data privacy; keeping computers and files protected.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Two years experience as a Service Writer is preferred.

  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision and the motivation to continually increase product knowledge should be evident.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.

  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

  • Excellent communication skills are required.

  • Must be self-motivated with an ability to manage and organize time and activities.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and follow brand dress code.

  • Possess outstanding work ethic.

  • Superior customer service skills.

  • Maintain effective team member relations.

  • Ability to maintain emotional control in stressful situations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Mercedes-Benz Brand Specialist will interact with hundreds of customers on a monthly basis.  The goal is to create an exceptional brand experience to build customer loyalty to with both Mercedes-Benz and our dealership group. This position interacts daily with Customers, Sales Managers, and Client Advisors, Service Managers and Service Advisors.

OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN HIGH CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SCORES     

  • Treat all customers in an enthusiastic, courteous and helpful manner and strive for complete customer satisfaction at all times. Promptly follow-up with customers and fully answer their questions or address their concerns, seek assistance if necessary or appropriate.

  • Implement and maintain current standards for customer treatment that define courteous, professional behavior and foster the goal of complete customer satisfaction. Obtain and maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above the national benchmark level.

  • Create a great vehicle delivery experience for the Customer

  • Set and execute follow-up delivery appointments

  • Gain superior product knowledge to effectively help Customers & train Sales Staff

  • Transition Customers to the Service Department to support their ownership experience

ASSIST IN CREATING AND MAINTAINING A PROFESSIONAL POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT                   

  • Maintain a good working relationship with the client advisors and managers to effectively, efficiently, and positively communicate ideas and information. Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

The Title Clerk provides clerical support by processing and filing Title paperwork to establish ownership of vehicles being purchased or sold for Mercedes-Benz of Farmington.

  • Punctual and regular attendance.

  • Check-in new vehicle Certificates of Origin (Titles), record stock numbers and file appropriately.

  • Responsible to process all paperwork, including registration/licensing and make all accounting entries for the transactions involving the sales of vehicles.

  • Audit title paperwork, file documents supporting sales and accounting entries and monitor transaction documents to ensure that all vehicle sales activities are properly documented and conducted in line with generally accepted business and accounting practices.

  • Process all vehicle sales, registration and licensing paperwork and make all appropriate entries for vehicle sales transactions for the organization daily in line with the organization’s, the manufacturer’s, legal and regulatory expectations and generally accepted business and accounting practices.

  • Assist in documenting and reporting financial and sales information to authorized others.

  • Use all appropriate security measures and safeguards to safeguard the organization’s assets.

  • Follow all policies and procedures for operations (organization and manufacturer/supplier).

  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Assists and calls customers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Notify manager of problem Titles; follow-up on all out-standing Title issues.
