What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll be diagnosing problems and performing repairs on MB vehicles. 
  • You’ll perform accurate advanced mechanical and electrical inspection, diagnosis and repairs across the MB lineup.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Client Sales Professional is responsible to serve as the organization’s representative in all activities connected with the sales of new and used vehicles and related products and services to our customers.  The Client Sales Professional will ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client relationships and contributing to the dealership’s sales targets. 

  • Punctual and regular attendance.  
  • Treat all customers in an enthusiastic, courteous and helpful manner and strive for complete customer satisfaction at all times.  Promptly follow-up with customers and fully answer their questions or address their concerns, seek assistance if necessary or appropriate.
  • Follow current standards for customer treatment that define courteous, professional behavior and foster the goal of complete customer satisfaction.  Obtain and maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above the national benchmark level.
  • Execute our sales process with each customer.
  • Perform all functions necessary to sell our products and services at or above the profitability guidelines established. Follow our operational procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to 100% of the customers 100% of the time.
  • Answer incoming phone and internet leads.
  • Complete CRM assigned tasks and follow ups.
  • Assist in merchandising and presentation of grounds and products.
  • Continually maintain prospects for new customers and new business using phone, mail, email, personal contact, referrals, and all other means available.
  • Regularly and consistently follow up with prospects and customers per organization/departmental guidelines using telephone, mail, personal contact, and other means.  This specifically includes regular and systematic follow up with those who have purchased vehicles from you/us regularly and continuously after they have taken delivery.
  • Continually maintain and upgrade “Product Knowledge” of the products and services we sell and of “competitive” products and services. Meet with supervisor regularly to review goals/objectives.  Develop and work action plan that achieves those goals/objectives.
  • Assist in ensuring that all manufacturer/supplier programs, warranties, etc. are followed and that required records are kept. 
  • Ensure our sales areas, both inside the building and outside, present a clean, neat, and in accordance with our brand image.
  • Assist in the collection of past due customer accounts as requested.
  • Use and keep up to date accurate records, files, forms, Dealer Management Systems, etc.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Mercedes Used Car Technician is responsible for troubleshooting vehicle issues of all makes and models, and fixing them; well-versed in complex mechanical or electrical systems of vehicles; excellent problem-solving abilities; must be a good communicator, able to explain to Service Advisors issues with vehicles; at all times providing an exceptional customer experience.

  • Punctual and regular attendance.
  • Will inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Service vehicles in a timely manner for routine scheduled maintenance in accordance with dealer and manufacturer recommendations; aiming to extend vehicle functionality and longevity.
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues.
  • Communicate all repair order issues and estimated repair times via ASR to keep all pertinent parties up to date on vehicle repairs.
  • Inform the Shop Foreman of difficulties with repairs and the need for additional repairs. 
  • Comebacks: limit comebacks on repair assignments to departmental standards.
  • Self-development: attend training seminars, shop meetings, and service schools.
  • Customer Relations: attentive to customer needs and responsive to customer inquiries where appropriate.
  • Team Effort: demonstrate a concern for meeting team/departmental needs through activities such as accepting overtime, following up on needed parts, helping other technicians, and training apprentices.
  • Practice safe work habits, follow the company’s safety policies, and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Provide complete stories in DMS on all jobs.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Automotive Parts Specialist is responsible to accurately and efficiently specify and fill correct parts for technicians, retail, and wholesale customers; at all times providing an exceptional customer experience.

  • Punctual and regular attendance.
  • Handle orders and request for information efficiently via telephone and over-the-counter customer by understanding the manufacturer’s parts system and ordering procedures.
  • Responsible to accurately specify and identify parts needed to meet customer requirements, so that number of parts returns due to errors is low.
  • Promote the sale of appropriate parts and accessories by accurately identifying the customer’s needs and promoting the benefits of using genuine OEM parts.
  • Maintain accurate sales and inventory records of all invoiced items.  Accurately cost out parts and accessories on counter tickets and repair orders.
  • Generate goodwill by greeting and serving every customer anywhere on dealership property courteously and promptly.  Listen for and answer phones in expedient manner.
  • Provide a high level of personal service to internal, wholesale, and retail customers by assisting them in identifying and obtaining needed parts.
  • Establish on ongoing support relationship with wholesale customers by answering questions and assisting them in obtaining needed parts. 
  • Follow-up on special order items; notify the customer and technician when received.
  • Follow-up the sales process by issuing parts and accessories to technicians and preparing and pulling orders for delivery and will call.
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of counters, displays, shelves, bins, and customer contact areas by following good housekeeping procedures.
  • Customer Relations: attentive to customer needs and responsive to customer inquiries where appropriate.
